Just another spin-off

It's been so dark.
So dark in here.
Not a single window,
Nor a door.
All there was, was floating masses
and the occasional rain.

I can't recall what made me feel this way,
Or since when I've felt like this,
But I've always longed for the light,
I've always wanted to escape this abyss.

But the light thy seek belongs to another world,
One I will never be able to cross into.

Along came the will, with its whisper;
Perhaps if I became full-fledged,
And through opening the way,
I'll end up in a time and find what I sought for.
